LED lighting will save billions of watts of energy this Christmas but its not just at the festive t
ime that they are used, as there are many applications for them nowadays, as detailed below:

Discotheque lighting
Lighting can be made with LED lamps to the effect of laser lights or even a strobe lighting effect, this is great for DJs who use them at parties and celebrations, such as corporate events or birthday parties.

Torches
LED torches are really the in thing at the moment, with their price expected to come down in the near future. The LED lamp size allows for more lamps in a smaller device, which in turn gives more light then the traditional old bulb, which is also poor in terms of energy efficiency. Applications range from pocket key chains to hand generated lights to torches, they have endless possible uses.

Outdoor Display & Signs
LED display signs and LED units are used in flashing displays on billboards or flashing signs at the bank that tell you your next in line. Nearly all lighting in Las Vegas is also LED based.

Seasonal Lighting
Haloween and Christmas lighting has traditionally been bulky and not offered very good value for money. For example, if a bulb breaks on a lighting strand it could render the whole strand useless (until the bulk is replaced). Contrast this with LED light sets which are more energy efficient and much more smaller and durable then the traditional bulb lighting product. They are also easier to install and more fail safe, as if one LED lamp breaks, the circuit stays alive and the strand will still continue to operate, they also do not get as hot as traditional bulbs when left on.
